All Ages (Kindergarten through adult)
Whether you are a beginner, part-time jam artist, or seasoned musician, the activities in this book will give you hours of new ways to groove and play rhythms with others.
The activities use easy-to-find instruments: egg shakers, drum sticks, Boomwhackers, and Remo Sound Shapes. The activities are perfect for use in team building and music therapy sessions, classroom learning and for conference energizers. Simple techniques for immediate rhythm creation are given. An Activity Skills Index lists the primary skill focus for each activity, the challenge level and the appropriate age group for each activity. Ways to extend an activity or add challenges are given in the Variations section of each activity.
The enclosed CD has 3 tracks that are Pulse tracks to assist in keeping a pulse. Track 4 is a simple jam track to play along with or add to the rhythm. Tracks 5 and 6 are vocal versions of "Bambale" and "Che Che Koolay" while tracks 7 and 8 are the instrumental versions.

Ask a Question
- Q.
1. What is a sound Shape and what is a boom whacker ?
2. Do you have a sample of your music on-line to sample ? - A.
A Sound Shape is a drum designed by Remo that is similar to a hand drum, but comes in different shapes and sizes (circles, squares, stars, hearts, etc). Here is a link to a good example:

Boomwhackers are plastic tubes that when hit, they make a musical note (even though it sounds like a thud, it's matched to whatever note/tube is played). They can either be hit with a mallet, your hands or knees. With a set of Boomwhackers, you are able to play a Major scale (and with the chromatic add-ons, the possibilities expand). Here is a link:

As of right now, we have very little samples online. We do expect to start adding some sample pages (barring publisher/copyright acceptance) in the future, but it still is a little ways away. If you have any questions about any books or products on our website, we have consultants on hand that can answer any question or recommend suitable products for you! Just call our 800 number (800-397-9378) and ask to speak to a consultant in the product area you are interested in.
