Conga (or tubano) drum activities for grades 4-8. The book has extensive lesson plans including objectives, process and extension possibilities plus full scores for every activity. All of the pieces in this book are played by unpitched percussion and drums in the Conga family. Tubanos are excellent substitutes. If you don't have enough instruments, try them with body percussion. Another option is to use the Orff instruments set up in pentatonic scale and be creative.  

An included disc contains image files of each full-size music score and a full color visual of each activity suitable for making transparencies or for use on a Smartboard. Interesting pieces teach rhythm, beat and meter through the students drumming, creating and moving.
