The pitch of pretuned tubanos cannot be adjusted, so several drums of the same size may have slightly different pitches. Tubanos are a Remo Drum Company exclusive. Conga-like in sound, the tubano features an internal resonating tube and four molded feet to allow full resonance without using a floor stand or tilting the drum. The Acousticon shell is manufactured from recycled hardwood fibers and is unaffected by climatic changes; Fiberskyn 3 head gives an outstanding authentic ethnic drum sound. Uniquely accessible to everyone, from professional performers to children standing while playing to music therapists working with wheelchair-bound patients.
Please note that the pretuned tubano heads have a friction-fit, meaning that the head will come off. This allows you to purchase a replacement head if one is broken, without having to buy a whole new drum. Due to this design, be sure to lift the pretuned tubanos by using the side handle (not the actual drum head).
Basic Beat Tube Drum Bags:
Here's a great way to protect Tubanos or other tube shaped drums when moving or storing. Features include; carrying handle on each end as well as detachable shoulder strap; both ends are lightly padded. The Basic Beat Tube Drum Bag has been designed to accomodate the difference in weight between the head end and feet end of your drum, and to allow the drum to be stored either on it's side or standing on the feet end. Different color trims allow for quick visual of size of drum.
Available in three sizes: small (10"-blue trim), medium (12"-red trim) and large (14"-yellow trim)
