This is the time once a year when all the music therapists across the country (and even some internationally) gather to network, to refresh themselves, to continue learning, to meet old friend and make new ones, AND TO BUY INSTRUMENTS!!!!!!!!!  

Did you know that the kind folks selling those instruments and resources at the West Music, Inc. booth are music therapists??   So be kind to them because they really are salesmen and women just four days of the year.   The rest of the time they are awesome music therapists.

 Steve West, the chairperson of the company, will be at the conference sitting on a panel of influential people in the business world.  Steve and his family deserve huge thanks because his commitment to music therapy has made our department possible.  In fact, West Music is the largest employer of music therapists in the State of Iowa!!!!

While you are gone, however, some of us are left back at home to see all the clients and consumers that would be left in the lurch if it wasn’t for the likes of US.  Who knows,  perhaps I’ll redecorate the office!!! Oh, the joys of being the newest music therapist on staff!!!!!

So to all my colleagues in Ohio, have safe travels, learn lots, and bring back some new wonderful ideas.
