WHAT:

It happens every day: you sit down in front of your family's piano, arrange your sheet music on the music rack, and place your fingers on the keys.  The result?  A beautiful, harmonious sound - chords that resonate, deep bass notes that rumble, and singing high notes that sustain for days.  Everyone knows that touching a piano's keys can produce gorgeous music.  But the question is, how many actually understand how their piano creates such beautiful sounds?

If you've ever wondered about the inner workings of the piano, you will soon have a great opportunity to learn all about it!  On Wednesday, June 15th at 5:00pm, West Music in Cedar Falls will be hosting the Anatomy Of A Piano seminar!  This fun and informative program will take you on a tour through the inside of the piano, shedding light on all the parts and processes that work together to help you make beautiful music.  If you've ever wondered what pinblocks, soundboards, escapements, and whippens are, now's the chance to find out!
