Dr. Jason Sifford has taught and performed regularly in both classical and jazz setting for over 20 years. He holds degrees in piano performance and pedagogy from Missouri State University, Louisiana State University, and the University of Michigan. In working with pre-college age students, he focuses on music literacy and technical development, the goal of which is to help students become proficient pianists who will carry a love of music with them for the rest of their lives. Students are also encouraged to make music a part of their lives, not just by practicing, but by improvising, composing, and performing as well, so they can share their gifts with others.
