Piano Works for Kids in August

What Is Piano Works For Kids?

Piano Works is a program West Music has developed to help get kids excited and interested in the piano from an early age.  With an interactive tour of the piano and a dynamic way of teaching a simple song, your kids will want to start playing the piano by the end of the session.

Children get to hear a catchy short video, and then they get to crawl under the piano to “feel” the sound and touch the soundboard to feel it vibrate.

The Yamaha Disklavier Player Grand is hooked up to sync with video. Imagine hearing and seeing the piano play “Old MacDonald's Farm” and when the screen shows an animal, it signals Middle C on the piano to wiggle up and down. A child simply has to push down the “wiggling” Middle C key to activate the animal sound on the TV.

August 28th at 11 am in the West Music Coralville store will be this month’s Piano Works For Kids.
