Microphones, Mixers, & Recording, Oh My!

This session will cover how to select microphones and how to keep them sounding great over time. We will also show you the easiest way to record your worship services simply and inexpensively. Mixed up with mixers? Mixing live sound is easy and fun if you know how to approach it. That, too, is covered in this informative session.

Utilizing 10 different anthems, we will explore ways of using choir anthems to their fullest potential while learning tips on involving choirs in richer and fuller ways in worship. All Things Praise Band
Presented by Lynn Jansen and Dennis Boyd
Experience firsthand one of the area’s finest praise bands. Music will be played and the band will share experiences on forming a group, music selection, rehearsing, how-to’s, and more. Be sure to bring your questions for an informal question and answer session.
The praise band, Mission, has played together since the spring of 2001. They are members of First United Methodist Church in North Liberty, Iowa. The group consists of: Lynn Jansen, Music Director and keyboards; John Saxton, bass; Lyle Muller, lead guitar and vocals; Dave Jansen, rhythm guitar and vocals; Dennis Boyd, percussion; and Kathy Boyd, auxiliary percussion and flute. The vocalists are Constance Wagner, Vicki Muller, Terri Davis, Renee Person; and Nick Klein.
