WHAT:
West Music invites You To Rock Steady - Our New and Exciting Music Program For Young People!
Rock Steady is a program designed for the young player with at least one year of playing under their belts. More than just a jam session, Rock Steady is a course on how to work with and rehearse with other musicians to form a band.
If you play an instrument, but have never been in a band, you have no idea of the fun you are missing. You’ll have one 3 hour rehearsal each week for 6 weeks, all under the watchful eye of a seasoned musical “Coach.”
We furnish a clean, modern facility for you to practice in, a backline consisting of guitar and bass amps, keyboard and keyboard amp, drums and sound system. You furnish the desire and enthusiasm and your instrument…oh, yeah…singers are encouraged to participate as well.
In addition to this, a weekly half hour “one on one” session with your Coach can be arranged* to help you smooth out any “rough spots.” All this instruction will be put to the test when you play for a concert at a local live music venue or on an outdoor festival stage, complete with lights and sound, as we wrap up your session of Rock Steady.
During each session, your Coach will also work with you on topics like:
- Seeking out places for your band to play
- Building a packet of promotional materials
- Recording a demo
- Stage setup
- What makes a good performance
- Stage presence

* Extra sessions with Coach must be booked in advance.
