Ross Pearce - Guitar
Ross, a junior at West High School, has been studying guitar with Rick Oltman for over two years and has taken drum lessons from Kip Roelfsema. In addition to guitar and drums, Ross also plays harmonica.
Ross has achieved learning new styles of music such as country, rockabilly, blues, and jazz. He has also improved his music theory skills and recently had the opportunity to play with his father’s band, FATCAT (left). His musical goal is to create a 50’s and 60’s cover band.
Ross enjoys painting, reading, writing, and collecting records. His advice to other musicians is “practice is all it takes”. He also recommends that everyone try different musical styles. By doing so, you can learn new techniques and develop an appreciation for music as a whole.
Ross has a very musical family. His dad and Grandpa play musical instruments, as well as many other family members. It is no surprise that Ross has a talent in music!
