Ann Byersdorfer - Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet and Trombone
Ann holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Iowa State University and a Master of Music Education from VanderCook College of Music in Chicago. She has a wide array of musical teaching experiences including 9 years as a band director, 4 years as a clarinet instructor at Waldorf College, and 9 years of teaching private clarinet and saxophone lessons.
Ann is a new resident to Cedar Falls this year and is teaching woodwind lessons at Peet Junior High in addition to teaching lessons at West Music. Recently it was announced that she will be a 5th and 6th grade school band director in the fall of 2013 in Cedar Falls.
She has performed with numerous community bands and symphonies, as well as small ensembles throughout Northern and Central Iowa.
Ann and her husband, Ben, enjoy sharing the many adventures that the outdoors, traveling, and band directing bring to their lives.
Ann teaches beginner through advanced clarinet lessons, as well as beginner through intermediate saxophone lessons. Her goal is to help students develop proper tone, pitch, finger technique, and musicianship, as well as instill a passion for music.
