Jason Sifford - Piano
Jason Sifford has an undergraduate degree in Music Performance from Missouri State University and graduate degrees in Performance and Pedagogy from Louisiana State University and the University of Michigan. In addition, he attended the Aspen Music Festival and School in their performance and collaborative artist programs.
Jason also freelances as an accompanist and is a composer and arranger of piano music for students. He is published by the FJH Music Company (www.fjhmusic.com).
Jason is an avid golfer. He placed 4th in his division at last year’s Iowa City Amateur Golf Tournament and is already in training for this summer’s event! When the weather is bad, he reads a lot of science fiction. His favorite authors include Robert J. Sawyer, Robert Charles Wilson, Joe Haldeman, Jack McDevitt, Connie Willis, and many of the classics (Isaac Asimov, Philip K. Dick, Robert Silverberg, Alfred Bester, and of course, Douglas Adams).
Also involved in the local theater community, he most recently served as musical director of “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” with City Circle Acting Company.
