Mrs. YounJung Cha is originally from Seoul, Korea. She received her Masters degree in Piano Performance at Cleveland Institute of Music, graduating with honor and receiving numerous scholarships. She is currently a candidate of DMA (Doctoral Music of Art) in Piano Performance and Pedagogy at University of Iowa, receiving full scholarship. She performs and works as a teaching assistant.
Mrs. Cha has taught piano and theory lessons for over 10 years. She has worked at Western Illinois University as well as University of Iowa, and is currently working at St. Ambrose University.
She has performed at University of Cincinnati, Indiana University – Bloomington, University of Minnesota, University of Wisconsin-Madison, University of Missouri- Kansas City, Seoul Art Center, and Sejong Art Center. Other recent performances include the Steinway Extravaganza, Liszt Festival by the Liszt Society at the University of Iowa, and Breast Cancer Support Concert in Rochester, New York.
