Kailey is a piano student of Allison Chenoweth. She has been studying with Allison for 8 years.
Allison says ”Kailey is a determined student who always puts forth her best effort, even when her music is challenging! Once Kailey has a goal in mind she works until she achieves it.”
Since starting piano lessons in January of 2008, Kailey has participated in 7 piano festivals and 50 concerts. She sets a good example for younger students to keep learning and sharing their music with friends and family.
Kailey plays trumpet in band at school and sings in choir. She likes listening to country music, and enjoys playing because it helps her to relax. One of Kailey’s musical goals is to be able to keep playing when she’s 90! Her advice to other musicians is to never give up. If something doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you.
Kailey also keeps busy with sports, playing soccer, volleyball, softball, participating in track and riding horses. Something surprising about Kailey is that she learned to play the Lady Antebellum song “Need You Now” while lying on the piano bench and not seeing the keyboard!
