Amy Brandt teaches violin and viola. She has taught at West Music for 10 years and in Denver, Colorado for a year. She started playing violin at age 3 and viola at age 10. Amy received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Iowa and a certificate for Suzuki Pedagogy from the University of Denver. She studied carnation violin for one semester during a study abroad in India in 1998. She enjoyed playing in a quartet at the University of Denver.
Amy also sells beaded jewelry at Kalona Junction in Kalona, Iowa. She enjoys photography, yoga, biking, and hiking in her spare time. Her favorite thing about teaching is sharing her love of music with her students. Amy will accept students as young as three years old and specializes in the Suzuki approach to teaching.
