Ottumwa August 2014 Teacher Feature: Chris HunterChris has played on the road for over 20 years in 35 states and Canada. With 35 years of experience, he has taught literally thousands of guitar lessons.

Chris’s achievements include winning the Heavyweight Guitar competition 2 years in a row (in Cedar Rapids and Iowa City) and also signing two of his original songs in Nashville. His guitar talents have allowed him to share the stage with the likes of Willie Nelson, Martina Mcbride, Exile, and John Cougar Mellencamp.

The most memorable highlight of his career was playing Farm Aid in front of 50,000 people and meeting Ringo Starr at the same time.

A composer of over 250 songs and 50 commercial jingles, Chris is owner of Studio 16, a project studio where he also produces and assists up and coming songwriters.
