By West Music Conservatory

When Alicia was 5 years old, her grandmother taught her to play piano. In 3rd grade, she joined choir and shortly after she started voice lessons and became a flute player. She went to Augustana and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree. Last summer she spent a month studying at the Vancouver International Song Institute on the University of British Columbia campus. During this month she gained inspiration for her performances and for her teaching. She met some of the most renowned voice teachers in the world and took note of their ideas and techniques. Alicia said it was an incredible experience that she hopes to repeat.

Alicia is a band sales associate and print music coordinator here at West Music. She is also the professional core of the Handel Oratorio Society for the performances of the Messiah. She is hoping to join the Quad City Choral Arts soon.

In her free time, Alicia enjoys reading and baking.  Alicia said she loves helping others discover new things about their abilities as musicians and human beings. When she comes out of a studio after teaching a lesson she says she can't stop smiling!
