Playing the drums is what Greg has always wanted to do with his life. He got his start with the Galva Elementary School Band at age 10 and began taking private lessons from Al Nache at 14. Greg attended a summer camp at the Los Angeles Music Academy in 2000, and had the pleasure to work with two of the world's greatest drummers, Ralph Humphrey and Joe Porcaro.

By age 15, he joined his second band, Corporate Rock. While in Corporate Rock, Greg opened up for Ted Nugent at Clinton Riverboat days in Clinton, Iowa. He performed with the Galva School Band in marching, concert, pep, jazz, and honor bands, musicals, and IHSA Solo and Ensemble contest. At age 18 he moved to Hollywood to attend the Percussion Institute of Technology at Musicians Institute in pursuit of an education and career in music.

While attending Musicians Institute, Greg received private instruction from Sammy J. Watson, drummer for The Apex Theory and Rob Carson and World Drum Champion. Greg graduated from PIT in September 2004 with his degree in professional percussion. In 2007, he joined progressive metal band Clandestine, playing many shows in and around Los Angeles before hitting the road to tour performing in California, Arizona, Nevada and New Mexico. Greg plays and teaches all styles of music, but rock and metal are his favorite.
