Senior Helpdesk Consultant (Coralville)

West Music, Coralville is seeking an experienced Senior Helpdesk Consultant to join our dynamic IT team.

Essential duties of this position include help desk support, pc installation and maintenance, network administration and server installation and maintenance. Also assists in maintaining the technological readiness of West Music.

An Associates degree or certificate in Computer Science, PC/network support, engineering or a related field or equivalent experience preferred. A minimum of two years experience in network/PC help-desk maintenance and support required. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Some evening and weekend hours required.

Orchestra Specialist (Coralville)

We have an outstanding career opportunity at our Coralville location for a full-time Orchestra Specialist to join us in our mission to “enrich people’s lives through participation in music.”

Responsibilities of this position include sales and consultation for orchestra directors in Iowa City and Cedar Rapids, oversight of string lease pool, movement of string and orchestra inventory, and supervision of orchestral instrument repair.

The ideal candidate for this position will have knowledge and/or playing experience in any or all orchestra instruments. Sales and/or retail management experience an advantage. Working knowledge of Word and computer basics required. Must demonstrate strong listening and verbal communication skills.

Desire to sell and satisfy customers in a FUN and fast paced environment a must! Knowledge and/or playing experience in any or all areas of combo instruments required.

Percussion experience a strong plus.

Retail Sales background preferred.
