BGE Financial Corporation is a leader in Lease/Purchase Plans for schools, universities and music booster programs. BGE has assisted music programs in meeting their musical instrument needs since 1988. With school budgets becoming tighter every year, leasing provides an avenue to assist your school accounts in acquiring the instruments they need while staying within their annual budget.
The purpose of our leasing plan is to assist school music departments in acquiring the necessary instruments for their program at minimal capital investment.
Benefits
- Helps beat inflation by acquiring the instruments needed today while avoiding annual price increases
- Gives music directors the opportunity to obtain needed instruments to complete a successful music program, or to replace those older models which are depleting their repair budget while staying within their budget
- School chooses term of 2, 3, 4, or 5 years
- All schools, universities, and school music boosters are pre-approved.
- Schools have the option of purchasing the instruments for $1.00 after the lease is paid in full.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Who can lease instruments?
This plan is designed to meet the current needs of school and can be offered only to individual schools or school systems, whether they are public, private or parochial. The plan may also be offered to school music boosters.
What can be put on a lease?
Any brand of instrument may be combined with equipment such as cases, risers, etc.
When do the instruments become the school's property?
At the conclusion of the lease, the school may purchase instruments for $1.00
Who covers the insurance on the instruments?
The school as lessee will assume all risks for any theft, mysterious disappearance, or damage to any or all items/equipment covered by the lease. Any such loss does not relieve the school of any of the terms or conditions of the contract. BGE Alliance Group, Inc. provides insurance to schools for full at coverage at a zero deductible. Maintenance, including that required during the life of the lease due to normal wear and tear, is the responsibility of the school.
Is the lease renewable?
The lease is annually renewable for the length of the term of the lease and is automatically renewed each year when the annual payment is made. The only reason a lease may not be renewed is for non-appropriation.
Do the limited warranty provisions apply to leased instruments?
Each instrument delivered to the school will have a standard limited warranty as provided by the manufacturer. The dealer will be responsible for servicing the product as if it were a purchased instrument.
Can the lease be paid off early?
Yes, the school can pay the lease off early and receive a rebate of unearned lease charges.
Is there a minimum lease amount?
Yes, $3,000 is the minimum lease base amount and the maximum term of 5 years may be used.
Who is responsible for the shipping cost?
The music dealer will include the shipping cost in the lease payment.
