If you haven't heard about the Technology Institute for Music Educators (TI:ME), you are in for a real treat! This organization has been around since 1995 and has been gaining steam ever since. Now, I know there are a lot of organizations that you need to be a part of as a music educator: MENC, ACDA, IAJE, ASTA, etc., but I honestly believe this is one that needs to be on your radar.

Here are 7 great reasons for joining TI:ME (provided by TI:ME):

  1. Stay abreast of the fast changing world of technology.
  2. Learn how to incorporate the TI:ME technology areas into your teaching.
  3. Learn how to use technology for specific student and teacher applications.
  4. Learn how to align technology with the MENC national standards.
  5. Be among the leaders in music education using technology in creative ways.
  6. Share information about the use of technology with colleagues around the world.
  7. Participate in national technology conferences.
