Band Heroes: Meet the iPod Touch Winners

Each of the kids listed below is not only a Band Hero but the winner of an iPod Touch. The winners were randomly selected from all of the students that rented or leased from West Music this fall -- one winner per store location.

Iowa Jazz Championships Tuesday April 14

They call it "IJC" in Iowa High Schools. The Iowa Jazz Championships is one of the largest, if not the largest, one-day high school jazz ensemble competition in the country. 60 schools compete in 4 size classifications each April at the Des Moines Convention and Civic Center for bragging rights as the top jazz bands in the state. This year's event is Tuesday, April 14.

The Anticipation is Building...Are You Ready?!?

At each conference that we attended this past 2008-2009 season, participants had the chance to drop their names in a box for a chance to win a $ 2,500 gift certificate from us to give their classroom a makeover. We also gave a chance for participants to win $ 200 that was given out at each conference.

So far we had a great turnout of entries and now we are getting to the drawing. The drawing will happen on April 15 (this coming Wednesday). So start looking through westmusic.com and making those wish lists…you could be our lucky winner!!
