27% of online shoppers who plan to buy holiday gifts online this year will look for ideas about what friends and family want on sites such as Facebook. And nearly one-half will use social networks to research items, compare prices, & look for special offers like free shipping. (Mashable)
You'll find ideas, deals, & free shipping at West Music this season. Give the gift of music...and be sure to bookmark your favorite West Music Facebook Page.
If you’re looking for a good gift idea for you or a friend, here’s a book that I would suggest getting this holiday season! A Contemporary Christmas contains nine early advanced piano arrangements of popular contemporary Christian and classic Christmas favorites that are perfect for worship services. The arrangements can be used effectively as prelude music at the beginning of services, or whenever reflective music is required. Helpful fingering and approximate performance times are included with each arrangement.
20 students, 2 guests, and 4 employees colored pictures of pumpkins to decorate the Conservatory Hallway. There were a total of 31 pumpkin pictures in all and everyone had a great time...so now we have Turkey and Cornucopia pictures available for coloring for Thanksgiving, so come on by!
When you go to a concert that has a spectacular pyrotechnic display, complete with lights and lasers, that take a crew 15 hours to set up, what are you expecting to hear? What about when the guitarists come in with long hair and you see famous musicians like Aerosmith and Joan Jett joining them on stage? Are you expecting to hear classical music? Probably not, but that is just what you will get with The Trans-Siberian Orchestra. (Listen to some selections below.)
How do I love thee, let me count the ways.
What are your New Year's Resolutions? Even if they have nothing to do with music, change for the better is a welcome start to the new year. Here are two "resolutions" in my family.

With a little over a week left until the holiday jumble, it is very easy to get "wrapped" up in everything
I love Christmas and the whole Holiday Season. It is one of my favorite times of the year. You get the first snow fall (and then the second and third and possibly even fourth snowfalls too...especially here in Iowa), Christmas lights, and Christmas music.
Happy Halloween! As all of the skeletons and goblins come out of the closet, the music therapists at West Music Co. are busy with the ghoulish task of adapting interventions to fit multiple functioning levels in a variety of groups.
