West Music has an opening for a full-time Music Therapist to provide service throughout Eastern Iowa. This position requires work with interdisciplinary teams and may include presentations to educate and promote music therapy services.
Population is primarily 1:1 and group sessions with a variety of populations including (but not limited to) adults with developmental disabilities, school-aged children, hospice, hospital setting, and/or geriatrics. The primary population will be children in the schools who have music therapy listed on their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). The ideal candidate for this position is able to work independently scheduling, providing assessments, treatment plans, and documentation in accordance with the Standards of Practice and Ethical Guidelines. At least one year of clinic practice preferred. The qualified applicant is MT-BC or eligible to take exam. Exceptional time management skills needed. Good driving record and reliable transportation a must.

This position requires an assertive problem solver who gets things done by working with people and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
The Merchandise Manager (MM) is responsible for providing product leadership in an assigned category and for creating compelling assortments that reflect the target customer and meet all key financial results (sales, gross margin, inventory turn and GMROI). Cross-divisional relationships are imperative in this position and pro-active communication with Sales, Marketing, Accounting and Fulfillment is required.
The ideal MM will have a bachelor’s degree in music, business or related field, or equivalent experience. Candidates must have familiarity and experience with print music, media and software, as well as the retail/wholesale sales environment.
Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Word, as well as in the use of the internet. In addition, they should know how to: analyze technical data in suppliers’ proposals; be good communicators and negotiators; have solid mathematical skills; understand supply chain management; and be able to carry out financial analyses.
The MM should be an effective planner and organizer with strong decision making skills and be able to multi-task and pay attention to small details in a fast paced environment. They need resourcefulness, good judgment, and the foresight to anticipate consumer preferences and ensure product is in stock when needed. Candidates should have experience merchandising and marketing products, and be able to identify new products in the respective categories. They must be able to work independently as well as work within a team and have very strong written and verbal communication skills.
