Fall Classes for All Ages

Sing & Play & Learn Today! is an engaging program that promotes music appreciation, movement, and social interaction for children. The passion for music displayed by the instructors is inspiring. Through the music program, all of our children have made friends and built relationships that extend outside of the classroom. In our busy lives, the Sing & Play & Learn Today! program has provided us with countless hours of parent/child bonding time and created memories that we'll cherish forever.
    -- Christa & Nick

Sing & Play & Learn Today! has been a wonderful learning environment for my daughter to gain comfort in a group setting and to appreciate a love for music. She now absolutely loves to sing and we incorporate music in our daily lives. We can not thank West Music enough for providing this engaging and fun class.

We have been taking our children to the group music program since they were a few months old, and they have absolutely loved it!

Sing & Play & Learn Today! is something we look forward to each week! Our three children have all enjoyed the special time we spend in music class. The curriculum is interactive and the resources are helpful in extending learning at home.
    -- Kari

Sing, Play, Keys! has been an excellent introduction to the keys, notes and music counting for our 5 year old. I see this program as the perfect building blocks toward music recognition and understanding for any future instrument she chooses.
    -- Amy

We love Sing, Play, Keys! because our son is proud to show us what he learns. The look on his face when he plays a piece is jubilant!

Sing, Play, Keys! was created by Nancy Cree and teachers of the Nancy Cree Keyboard Learning Centers program. Sing, Play, Keys! is designed to give young students a fun way to start learning piano. Children learn rhythm basics, finger plays and exercises, explore keyboard black and white keys, learn about other musical instruments, and more! At the end of the two-semester program, most students will be ready to start private piano lessons.

Semester 1: Keyboard Explorers
Semester 1 explores body awareness, rhythm activities with the introduction of the quarter and half note, finger plays and exercises designed to strengthen and incorporate beginning finger technique, exploring the keyboard's black and white keys, learning about the instruments of the orchestra, and playing songs using finger numbers.

Semester 2: Keyboard Adventures
Semester 2 continues with technique and rhythm activities and introduces the dotted half note, whole note, and the quarter rest and we learn more about different musical instruments. We review several finger number songs, learn the musical alphabet, and the names of the keys on the keyboard and play more songs composed by Tina Chapman. Students must have completed Semester 1 Keyboard Explorers before registering for Semester 2 Keyboard Adventurers.

Our keyboard music classes help students learn to share, work and play together, improve listening skills, and have lots of fun making music.
