Volume 1 includes step-by-step lessons that combine content and audio/video recordings of Wynton Marsalis and Jazz at Lincoln Center artists with interative student learning. Typical classroom instruments can be used with the lessons.

Digital downloads include: sequenced lesson slides to project, reproducible activity/assessment worksheets, audio recordings of each song, and Wynton Marsalis sharing background information. Also includes free access to corresponding video clips for each lesson. For use by the general music classroom (grades 2 and up), beginning jazz ensembles, and community jazz education courses.
