For each composer, students will study the life of the composer, then listen to a well-known and representative musical work by the composer.
There are 3 sections for each composer:
Biography - includes a portrait, interesting composer "factoids", a chart listing the types of music the composer wrote, a time line listing world events during the composer's lifetime, and more.
Listening Example - information about a well-known work plus a second-by-second guide to assist students as they listen to the included CD. The CD features recordings in a variety of styles from solo piano to orchestral to opera.
Review - a student assessment featuring 10 multiple choices or true/false questions plus one fill-in-the-blank bonus question.
Also contains supplementary materials.
