Alto Antics
By Robert Amchin
Book and CD
17 pages

A beginning alto recorder ensemble book. Interesting percussion parts and Orff instrument accompaniments make this a book students will love. Notes are introduced sequentially and the pieces go from very easy to intermediate. Certain parts might be played by the teacher on tenor or bass recorder. Others might be transferred to other pitched instruments such as Orff xylophones or keyboards based on the needs and musical facility of your players.

Performance suggestions are given and a performance/accompaniment CD is enclosed. The recording features traditional Orff instruments and accompaniments and is a useful learning tool for beginning alto recorder ensembles.
