I chose this because my daughter loves to play the recorder and it is very helpful with her fingering. She says it's JUST FUN!!

When starting with an Alto recorder, do you start with the "F" or the "C". What is the difference in the English and Baroque ??
scott j on Dec 1, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Depends on your prior knowledge of music in general. If you can read notes and/or play another instrument, it would be OK to start with the low F. Get the hard part over with. If, however, you need to learn to read music, start with C and concentrate on the written music first, then worry about more difficult fingering.
This advice is based on 50 years of intermittent recorder playing, both soprano and alto.

can I get a clear and accurate Bflat and D natural on this? I need a special cockoo effect but with those specific pitches.
