Back to the Boomwhackers
By Bradley Bonner
Book and CD
Grades 2 - 6

8 new fun-filled lessons focus on basic music elements (beat, rhythm patterns, melody, ostinato, block harmony, form, dynamics, and style) while interacting with varied styles of music including tango, African polyrhythm, country hoedown, military march, 60's rock, folk, mixed meter jazz, and a Stomp-style finale. Included CD has both practice and accompaniment tracks. Detailed instructions are given for each activity.

Boomwhackers needed (Boomwhacker and Octavator sets are each available separately): diatonic set (item 200346); one song needs the chromatic set for Ab (item 200348); and a few songs also need the bass diatonic set (item 200347, available separately) - alternately, use 2 diatonic sets with one set being lowered an octave with Octavator tube caps (item 200403).

Contents: Noble Duke of York, Comin' 'Round, Chey Chey Koolay, Ears Won't Allow (Teacher Won't Allow), Boomstompa, Bang Boomwhackers, 3-4-5, 2 to Tango.

Are all of the pieces in the book in the key of C? Also do they include a piano accompaniment? What are the names of some of the specific songs in the book?
