Our Perspective

West Music Plastic Castanet When used in pairs these colorful items are universally accepted by dance artists and Kindermusik teachers. Their clackety-clack sound is very close to that of more expensive wooden castanets. In an emergency, their use is appropriate in a concert band situation for tapping out Latin rhythms. Where else can you find such a useful percussion instrument at this price? - Lee

These plastic finger castanets are colorful, sanitizable, fun and great sounding!  Just pinch the two sides together to create a clicking sound.  An inexpensive way to add great sound to your rhythm instrument collection.

Why did you choose this?
West Music Store
I chose these as an affordable and useful prop for my early childhood classes. In some ways they have been good but the elastic breaks or stretches too easily, making some of them not function well.
