Our Perspective

The single bell jingle is an Early Childhood Music and Movement “must have.” I keep a basket of them in my classroom and my students love to take two bells, give two more to their grown up, and jingle to their hearts’ content! Use them to jingle a steady beat; tap the sticks together for a different sound; jingle them up high and down low. Sometimes it’s fun to jingle them near your ears to hear them in a whole new way!  -Melissa

Description

Toddlers will love learning rhythm and music with Basic Beat’s Single Bell Jingle. A bell is attached to the end of a colorful, durable, wooden handle. Add to the fun by purchasing one for each hand. Kids 18 months and older can shake the bell to produce a beautiful ring or tap two handles together to produce even more sounds. To further engagement, consider purchasing 2 more for parents to play along with their children.

Nice little Christmas gifts for students.

Good for the price. Very simple bell. Quiet sound, but for a class of 25 children, that's not necessarily a bad thing!

I chose this because I need more jingle bells for my classroom. I had a set of larger bells and they are loud and tend to drown out the voices of the children. These are the kind that are not as loud - almost not loud enough if you are just using one, but good for a class to use all together. In our Christmas program this year we have 20 2 and 3 year olds ringing bells and I can still hear their sweet voices over the sound of the 40 bells. Perfect!

Great gift for toddlers to give as a pair.

Use this for Mommy and Me style classes...great with little ones!
Angela I on Oct 10, 2012
I started teaching younger children and needed a bell tone instrument that was more simple to play than jingle bells on webbed rings.

Also something we use in kindermusik and daughter loves!
Lauren R on Oct 3, 2012
Frankly, not crazy about this bell. The blue paint began chipping almost immediately. I now have 50 bells that look 'old' and they are my newest instrument. Everything else in my studio looks very professional -- these look cheap after they are used. I loved the red bells -- they never chipped and do not look well used, even now after 8 years!

GREAT for use with preschoolers (Head Start) children! These aren't as noisy as the wrist jingles either.
Julia F on Feb 12, 2012
Thought I'd try them since I'd been buying the red ones. The blue bells have a smaller bell on top that does not give very much sound so I will not buy them again.
Mary G on Jan 3, 2012
My grandson used them at a library activity and I liked them because they were not a loud as other bells so, I ordered them for my preschool class.

It seemed safe for young ages. I'm making a gift bag full of little musical instruments for an 18 month old. Free shipping definitely helped!
Esther C on Dec 15, 2011
They are similar to the single bell jingles that are used in our music studio. Nice sound quality and easy to grasp..

These bells are perfect for use with preschoolers in group music classes. They are easy to hold and to clean. I'm adding more to our instrument collection!

Perfect size for my 1 year old to grasp and shake, plus it introduces her to the world of music...who knows maybe we can discover some of her hidden talents early in life!

A shopper on Oct 9, 2017

Is the handle made of plastic or wood?
Nicolle on Sep 13, 2014
BEST ANSWER: The handle is wooden.
I have recently purchased a set of similar bells by another company that does not a nice ring. I also have some older bells that look just like these but have red handles and they have a beautiful ring. Can you tell me if these bells have a nice ring?
Susan J on Jan 21, 2014
BEST ANSWER: It'd be good if West Music made videos for potential buyers to hear the sound.
Are these madein the USA?
A shopper on Dec 14, 2012
BEST ANSWER: This product is made in India.
How long is the handle?
Katrina S on Nov 2, 2011
BEST ANSWER: The overall length of the instrument is 5.25 inches, which would make the handle 4.25" long with a 1" diameter bell on the end.
