Our Perspective

Sand blocks are a popular instrument for children of all ages.  With a handle that makes them easy to hold, they make a fun scratching noise when rubbed together or a clapping sound when hit together.  They are great for making sound effects, and silly noises!  -Jenny

Description

I'm doing a cute Kindergarten train unit and I use these sandblocks with the kids. I ordered these as replacements for broken ones I have at school.

I like the gripper handles on top versus the indentations along the sides for gripping; however, my handles all came loose after minimum use and I had to re-glue them all. Work fine now.

Young children can manage these easily with the handles. I like the size and shape.

These are fun for the kids, especially when we do train-themes activities; adds to our variety of sounds.

I love using sandblocks for "train" songs and activities. The kids can mimic the sound of the train rolling along using the sandblocks. Always a hit!
