I usually order the Yamaha recorder-but the student clientel at my school is more financially strapped. How does this recorder compare to the Yamaha? Julie
Julie M on Sep 25, 2011
Best Answer: I love these recorders. I use them every year for my 3rd and 4th graders. They are excellent recorders for the price. They hold up extremely well. The sound is very comparable to the Yamaha brand. I highly recommend them.

iI'm looking to use just the recorder tops (as a whistle for 2-4years kids) just wondering where the recorder separates in two pieces as I'll need to clean them thoroughly? Thank you

Does this break easily because I want one that is cheap but doesnt break?
A shopper on Sep 22, 2013
Best Answer: I have used this instrument for 2 years in the classroom. I have only had one break, that was because they dropped it on the concrete several times. Have had great luck with them!

what kind of case comes with these? Cloth? Plastic?
Glyn N on Oct 20, 2011
Best Answer: These recorders come with a plastic zip case. It's a good case, but sometimes the zipper breaks if the kids are rough with it when zipping it up.

I normally buy 3-piece. Where is the separation on these- is the head fixed? Or the bottom?
Jeremie P on Aug 17, 2013
Best Answer: The separation is just after the mouthpiece at the ridges, so watch when you put back together that the mouth piece is correctly aligned for fingering. It is a good starter recorder if you are looking for a basic beginner.

how much is it for shipping?
A shopper on Dec 11, 2012
Best Answer: If the order is placed by 12/16, and it is shipping within the contiguous 48 states, the shipping will be free. If you are ordering 100 or more of these recorders, and it will be shipping within the 48 contiguous states, the shipping would be free for the recorders regardless of when the order was placed.
