In teaching early childhood music and movement for over 15 years, I’ve never found an infant or a toddler who wasn’t fascinated by these rainmakers. The motion of the beads with the soothing rain sound creates an irresistible combination. Safe for ages 6 months and up, babies and toddlers will quickly figure out that by tipping the rainmaker over, the whole experience starts all over again! -Melissa
Shorter, 8" long, clear plastic rainstick, with colorful plastic beads. Special prisms in the walls of the instrument create a rainbow of colors as the beads cascade through the tube. Two rubber rings help to give an easy grip when used as a shaker. The combination of sound and color makes this product a delight for children.

55.0colorful and engaging!
The bright colors are just as engaging as the beautiful sound! This rainstick projects well and is very sturdy. A great buy! My students love it!
I have a 4 month old baby, and we go to a baby class at the library each week. They always lay out a bunch of toys, but my baby is always drawn to this one. It keeps her very entertained. I also come from a musical family, and know that you can never introduce instruments to your babies too young, so this is a great way to get her started! :)
Best Answer:I actually bought it for my grandchildren to do while riding in the car. I imagine it would be a mind stimulator for dementia or geriatric patients. My mother was in a nursing home and she had numerous gadgets such as this one....a small etch a sketch, a small magna doodle, etc. She was entertained for hours with this type of mental stimulation.
