Holidays and Special Days
By Grace Nash and Janice Rapley
135 holidays songs, rhymes and movement activities for each month of the school year. Some songs include parts for Orff instruments. Each month is divided into activities for primary grades (K-1-2), middle grades (3-4) and upper grades (5-6). Focus and teaching ideas are included. The teaching ideas are based on principles drawn primarily from the Orff-Schulwerk, Kodaly choral system and Laban science of movement, as well as other recognized teaching techniques.
