Unit 4: Learning Reading Strategies.

Movement: Self & Pairs(walk, skip, jog, skate alone or in pairs).

Unit 5: Zooming In on an Idea.
Music: City Scene by Linda Worley (recurring A theme, different episodes).

Unit 6: Sequencing.

Visual Art: Tree with Crows - landscape by Casper David Friedrich (how environment affectsgrowing things, untraditional tools & techniques).
Movement: In the Hall of the Mountain King (building from small to large movement).
Language Arts: When the Wind Bears Go Dancing (rhyming words, vowel pairs, stories that grow and build).  

Unit 9: Exploring Character.
Music: This Little Light of Mine (instrumental) - spiritual, arr. Worley (1, 2, and 4 melodies).
Visual Art: Sunflowers by Christian Rolfs (self & others, nontraditional tools).
Movement: This Little Light of Mine (self, pairs, fours; creating a dance).
Language Arts: Too Noisy - rebus version (develop characters through drama, read for meaning).
