We are pleased to introduce three new lines of Mariachi instruments, endorsed by Maestro Jose Hernandez of Sol de Mexico®, the nation's premier Mariachi ensemble.

The Jose Hernandez Signature series is considered the top of the line. With upgraded hardware, beautifully matched tonewoods, and gorgeous abalone inlay, these instruments set themselves above the rest. These instruments are so professional, Jose Hernandez himself lent his autograph to the top of each headstock.

Jose Hernandez Signature Series Vihuela features:

  • Matched two-piece Tacote top
  • Two-piece Cedar back with gloss finish
  • Cedar Bridge
  • Upgraded open-geared chrome tuning machines
  • Custom designed Abalone rosette
  • Custom designed clear pickguard
  • Soft shell case included

*Please note that these are handcrafted instruments and might not be identical in color to the image shown.

Why did you choose this?
West Music Store
I have played on one and heard Jose play on both the signature and cocula models, and like how easy it is to play and the great sound it has.

Jose Hernandez has superb taste, and if he trusts his name on this item, then I trust it to be of excellent quality and reliability.

What kind of strings do they use, and where my I purchase them?
Martin V on Nov 5, 2014
Best Answer: Well me personally, I like to use normal single guitar strings which you can buy at a local music store near you! I use strings 3,2,1,2,1. From top to bottom 3rd string for A, 2nd string for D, 1st(smallest) string for G, 2nd string for B and 1st string for E. Hope this helps !
