Compose music with your students using Dry Erase Staff Boards from West Music. Our staff template is large enough to see across the room to make checking students boards quick and easy. Each staff is 2.25” high and separates lines by approximately .5”. The staves are separated by over an inch and include a blank writing space below that is 4.5” high.

The markers have a fine tip, are ULTRA LOW ODOR and are washable off skin. No more having to open all the windows every time you use them. They are also completely NON-TOXIC. Although no dry erase markers are washable off of everything, these markers are washable off skin with soap and water. The markers use an alcohol based ink which requires the markers to be recapped to reduce how quickly they dry out.

How to Clean The Marker Boards

First off, DO NOT USE abrasive cleaners. Old fashioned Comet cleaner is good for the bathtub, but bad for the Dry Erase Board.

If you accidentally use a regular marker or a Vis-A-Vis on your dry erase surface you will probably get it off with a water-dampened cloth. This is normal with all dry erase surfaces. If you get something on your board that doesn't want to clean off, don't panic. You may be able to remove it from your board by going over the mark with your dry erase marker and then erasing.

If that does not clean it off, there are markerboard cleaners you may purchase from various office supply stores. Most cleaners actually consist of a weak dry erase marker solution. To do a heavy-duty cleaning of our boards we recommend using some non-acetone fingernail polish remover on a soft cloth or paper towel. This method works better and costs less than commercial board cleaner. On boards purchased elsewhere, check with the manufacturer to avoid damaging your board.

****The manufacturer has updated the markers included in this package to the photo featured above.****

Why did you choose this?
West Music Store
I chose this white board to use in my classroom so I can provide more opportunities for students to write notation. I searched the internet and felt this was the best one. I can't wait for the boards to arrive.

Hands on products are the way to go when teaching children. With each learner having his or her own board, not only are all engaged but I can easily assess who needs additional help and who already has the skill and needs to be challenged. I am big on music literacy and the dry erase boards are easy to handle for young and older hands, easy to store, and a resource that is well worth the money!

Are these boards two-sided? I am looking for boards with staves on one side and blank on the other.
Shirley R on Aug 28, 2013
Best Answer: These boards are not two sided. I am able to have students write rhythmic notation below the staff & melodic notation on the staff.
