By Jeanette Morgan
Grades K – 5

Five interactive activities designed to keep students engaged in reading and performing up to 75 common rhythm patterns in 4/4 time. Choose from one of the three pre-set levels of difficulty or create and save your own custom collections of flash cards and rhythmic figures.  Present the activities in a whole class format or allow up to five individual students at a time use the sotware – perfect for station work or informal assessments.

Just Flash Cards – After selecting your level of difficulty or creating a custom set of cards, open the unit and use these digital flash cards.

Now, with Music – Expand from reading rhythms to performing them along with a choice of three original audio tracks, each in its own style and tempo. A handy “bull-pen” lets the class know the next rhythm in the virtual stack so that they can begin to read ahead.

Eight-Beat Flash Cards – Manipulate two stacks of rhythm cards to expand the rhythm reading and performing to eight beats. Audio tracks are included.

Make Your Own Flash Card – Perfect for individual students at computers or in a whole-class presentation to create and print their own four-beat flash cards.

Build a Rhythm – Students can drag and drop flash cards to the grid to create a 16-beat rhythm pattern. Then they can print the pattern to use as an ostinato or another musical use.
