Music Word Wall
By Kris Kropff

Research has shown that word walls give a great boost to literacy - some districts even mandate them - but who has time to make cards, much less stylish cards, for all those vocabulary words? With this resource, the answer to that question is, you do!

This CD includes more than 150 printable cards for everything from terms and symbols to instruments, notes, rests, and composers. The designs are attractive yet simple enough that the word remains the focus, and short definitions/ descriptions are provided on each card.

The cards are organized in folders so you can quickly find and print what you need. To access them, simply insert the disc into your computer's CD-ROM drive. They are saved as Adobe Acrobat files, so are compatible with PCs and Macs and are accessible with the free Adobe Reader. Additional technical information is provided inside, and a printable contents list and index are included on the disc.

Technical Information

If you don't already have the free Adobe Acrobat reader, you'll need to install it in order to open the files on this CD. You may download it from www.adobe.com/downloads/. You'll find the Download link for Adobe Reader under "Players, readers and viewer."

Our school promotes literacy across all subjects. This is a great way to encourage students to read, while at the same time, allowing us to teach musical concepts.

I just don't have time to make my own word wall. I needed the head start that this set provides. I'm sure I'll have to make some on my own, but this will be a great starter set!

Are the posters 81/2 x 11 size?
A shopper on Jul 25, 2012
Best Answer: I really like that you can choose what size to make the posters. They can be 8 1/2 or you can print 2 to a page or even 4 to a page.
