For pre-K to grade 4

Over 60 ready-to-use original songs, games, and activities to help children sing in tune and explore music concepts. These classroom-tested songs and activities are organized into 2 parts. Part 1 has 10 activities that help students experiment with various ways of using their voices and distinguishing singing/ speaking voice. Part 2 has 4 sections of songs and games to help children sing in tune, each one packed with songs and stimulating activities that encourage initial success for beginners while enhancing skills of more advanced students. Each song/ activity contains learning objectives, step-by-step directions, reproducible game cut-outs, and teaching hints and suggestions; melody line snd lyrics are given. Includes a CD that is intended for use as a teacher resource, to use as the songs are initially presented to a class. It is recommended that the class return to unaccompanied singing as the students are able to sing the melodies accurately, for a more effective approach when helping students learn to sing in tune.
