Everyone is mentioning toddlers using this. I want one for my 6 yr old. would this be good?
A shopper on Nov 5, 2014
Best Answer: It is a lovely well made toy and the child I bought it for still uses this at age two as does her daughter age 4. It is one of several musical instruments we have collected and have family play alongs where everyone joins it on an instruments.. I really can't speak to a 6 month old using it extensively by themselves (I bought it for a one year old).

Are the keys metal or wood?
A shopper on Oct 21, 2012
Best Answer: The keys on this instrument are metal. Technically, that makes it a glockenspiel, but the manufacturer calls it a xylophone.
