Developed in conjunction with World Champion percussionist and Pipe drum legend Jim Kilpatrick, The CyberMax® provides the ultimate in high-tension durability with a crisp, short tone and maximum projection. Offering exceptional strength, responsiveness, precision and stability, the CyberMax® feels great to play and is incredibly responsive no matter how high the tension is set. Ideal for pipe drums and all marching applications that require extreme higher tension.

Because of CyberMax®'s extraordinary definition, the heads offer a wide range of controlled dynamic variations from the subtlest to the loudest parts. The heads are designed to perform equally well indoors or outdoors, for solo or ensemble playing.

16-time World Champion percussionist Jim Kilpatrick says, "When I am performing at the highest level of competition, I need to know that my drum head is going to give me everything I ask from it. CyberMax® has proven to be the most responsive and durable head I have ever played."

would this be a good snare head for the pearl competitor high-tension marching snare drum 14x12?

Best Answer: If you have the Pearl CMSX Competitor Snare then yes, this head would work. As this drum has a free floating shell, it is designed for a high tension snare drum head like this one.

If you have the Pearl CMS Competitor Snare then no, this head would not be the best choice. This snare is not designed to handle the extreme tension needed for a high tension drum head like the Remo Cyber Max. For this drum you would want to look at a head like the Remo Powerstroke 2 marching snare head. Our item number is for this head is #253458.
