I have all Primary Line instruments. I can't afford to get a BM unless I get the Global Beat Series. How do you like the sound compared to Primary Line? Do you notice a difference?

BEST ANSWER: Sara, In response to your question about the Sonor Global Beat Bass Metallophone...
For comparison purposes, I don't have a Primary Line Bass Metallophone, but I have a Studio 49 Bass Metallophone. The most significant difference in the sound of the Studio 49 compared to the Global Beat is the length of the resonace. The Global Beat rings for a long time (much longer than the Studio 49). I think it has a very nice sound and we are very happy with this instrument choice. If the extended ringing is an issue for you, this might not be the instrument for you, but we are very pleased with it.
What are the dimensions?

BEST ANSWER: The dimensions should be 33x13.5x22 inches.
