By Sonor. Pair of medium hard rubber mallets, with a grey rubber head on a black plastic shaft. These quality, German-made mallets will really allow your Orff instruments to sing.

Recommended for use with alto glockenspiels (Sonor GAM), chime bars (KS30 and KS40) and xylophones if you are looking for a more percussive attack.

  • Head: Rubber
  • Mallet Shaft: Plastic
  • Hardness: Medium Hard
  • Head Diameter: 20 mm
  • Mallet Length: 24.5 cm
  • Priced per Pair

Have purchased Pearl, Ludwig, and similar xylophones/glockenspiels from eBay that were part of student percussion kits. The few that have mallets are hard plastic and very harsh sounding. Wish to purchase rubber mallets. It is difficult to decide what to purchase without hearing them. Which type of rubber mallet would you suggest? Medium rubber mallet or hard rubber mallet? Thank you.
