Every other place sold them individually, I needed many. They start at $1.25 each, so 8 bucks for 10 is a good deal. Just needs free shipping, then we'd have something here.

I needed to repair one of my xylophones. I am so glad that WEST has just the pins...just one broke off and I don't need an entire kit to repair...just the pins.

I haven't repaired the Sonor instruments before. What is the best way to get the broken pin out?
Barb K on Aug 21, 2012
BEST ANSWER: First I take a razor and cut off the broken pin at the box.
Secondly, I start with a 1/16 drill bit and slowly drill out the center of the pin - short up and down thrusts at first. Pin parts will start to come out - if you see wood come out then you have gone too far.
Thirdly, move up a drill bit size and get more of the pin out - still keep the short up and down thrusts at first.
Keep moving up a drill bit size until either the pin is gone or you are using a bit that is just a tad smaller than the size of the pin hole.
You should be able to use tiny needlenose pliers or tweezers to grab out the remaining part of the pin if it has not already popped out.
Will these work on soprano xylophones as well as alto and bass? Are there different sizes?
A shopper on Nov 13, 2013
BEST ANSWER: There is only one sized pins for Sonor instruments. They will work on soprano, alto, and bass.
I have a Sonor Bass xylophone. It is a GB KX 10. Will these work?
A shopper on Jul 3, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Yes; These are the correct pins for that instrument.
