Stomp, Boom, Blast 2
Creating More Music with Everyday Stuff
By Cathy Blair
Book and CD
64 pages

Grab a couple boxes of pasta, some rubber bands, buckets, pails and cell phones and get your class ready to stomp, boom, blast, shake and sing their way to thinking outside the staff lines and creating music like you've never heard before!

Continuing in the rollicking and fun-loving tradition of PDQ Bach, Spike Jones, Weird Al Yankovice, the Blue Man Group, Victor Borge and the creative minds of teachers and children everywhere, Stomp, Boom, Blast 2 celebrates the fifth anniversary of Stomp, Boom, Blast. With pieces utilizing everything from elements of Gregorian chant to text messaging, there's something to fit everyone's musical style.

Teaching and performance suggestions accompany each lesson.  Some pieces require piano accompaniment and some of the music uses an accompaniment or other "effect" track found on the CD. This mixed-media CD also has performance and accompaniment tracks. All scores are reproducible and reproducible student parts can also be found on the CD included with this book.

For grades 3-6.
