If your Studio 49 soprano or alto xylophone has a resonator box with a plastic inner lining, this is the replacement strip you need to replace old, worn tubing. These instruments were built between 1975 - 1992. The pins for this style of resonator box ARE NOT replaceable or removable; once you have encouraged the pins to be as straight as possible, then use this strip of rubber to go over the pins, along the whole length of the instrument.

This item is for one Studio 49 soprano or alto xylophone (contains 2 strips, one for each side of the instrument).

How do you replace the rubber pins for the newer models?
Marsha Glover on Nov 12, 2012
Best Answer: Hi Marsha,
Here is a link to a YouTube video we posted about replacing the rubber pins on a xylophone. This is for the flexible ones - not the nails with the covers on them. Hopefully, this will be helpful to you.

I have some old Lyon orffs that use rails. I can't find any replacement rails for them even in the Lyon catalog. Will these work on my instruments?
Marsha M on Jan 20, 2016
Best Answer: We cannot guarantee that these will work with Lyon brand instruments.

Do these fit with the Lyons brand xylophones? I haven't been able to find replacement lining for those as I have in the past...
