If your Studio 49 bass xylophone or metallophone has a resonator box made entirely of wood (no plastic inner lining), then this is the set of replacement pins you need. (If you have an older model that uses all metal nails, use item 255137).
Best Answer:Would love to know the answer to this as well. The only solution I have found is actually using the nails where the rubber ones should go. :-/ I can't get the rubber out that is broken off and covered in glue. I experimented with nailing one of the nails into the rubber. It works, but if there is another solution, I'd love to know it. :-)
I have watched others take a drill, and using a drill bit smaller than the hole, drill into the plastic and it comes right out nice and clean. I forget what size drill bit was used though. Smaller is definitely safer!
